A final set of resources

The “New Biology”:

Bruce Lipton (https://www.brucelipton.com/) is a leading pioneer in the field of epigenetics – a term used in developmental psychology to describe psychological development as the result of an ongoing, bi-directional interchange between heredity (nature) and the environment (nurture). He presented at a Seth conference in the 1980s and his first book, Biology of Belief: Unleashing the Power of Consciousness, Matter, & Miracles (2005), marked the first academic recognition of how our thoughts and beliefs affect our physiology.

This first video (18:30), alongside physicist and author, Thomas Campbell, Bruce explains the cellular processes involved when cells recognize environmental information before exhibiting a behavior.

In this second video (8:00), Bruce’s Newsletter presents an analogy on what money represents – ENERGY. Our thoughts are energy too, so don’t waste that energy by focusing on negative thoughts.

This final contribution from Bruce (25:00) in an interview with the Uplift Group, focuses on the theme of telling a “new story” for humanity as we go through our collective shift in consciousness.

We must change our consciousness to change our world:

In this podcast Elizabet Sahtouris, an evolution biologist and futurist, talks about activating the experience of global consciousness (36mins.):

From germinating 30,000 year old seeds to the effects of Type II diabetes on the National Health Service, Dr David Reilly MD’s fast paced talk on how to unlock the potential of human healing is both fascinating and touching. Using the example of one of his patients, and with a moving twist at the end, David interprets 40 years of academic research into an amazing story. (28mins.)

These books by Norman Friedman are a go-to reference source when attempting to understand modern physics and quantum theory. In these books Friedman also presents comparisons between Sethian philosophy and discoveries in quantum physics:

[fac_icon icon=”book” color=”#2f0c54″ color_hover=”#8224e3″ font_size=”30px”] The Hidden Domain: Home of the Quantum Wave Function, Nature’s Creative Source. (Norman Friedman) [fac_icon icon=”star” color=”#f7c100″ color_hover=”#8224e3″][fac_icon icon=”star” color=”#f7c100″ color_hover=”#8224e3″][fac_icon icon=”star” color=”#f7c100″ color_hover=”#8224e3″] “This important book is a bridge to a new millenium in which the divisions of science and spirituality, intellect and intuition, will be harmonized.” (Larry Dossey, M.D.)

This 60-minute documentary from Dr. Keith Parsons provides a definitive guide to scientific inquiry into psychical phenomena over the past two centuries. This Life, Next Life covers:

  • Paranormal experiences
  • Life after death
  • Out of body experiences
  • Consciousness studies
  • Survival of spirit
  • Quantum physics
  • and mediumistic communication.

Anne Baring worked as a Jungian analyst before retiring from private practice in 2000. She is a member of The Scientific and Medical Network and has often presented for them. She teaches here and in America to students of psychology, mythology, fairy tales and alchemy. The Dream of the Cosmos is her magnum opus:

[fac_icon icon=”book” color=”#2f0c54″ color_hover=”#8224e3″ font_size=”30px”] The Dream of the Cosmos: A Quest for the Soul (Anne Baring) [fac_icon icon=”star” color=”#f7c100″ color_hover=”#8224e3″][fac_icon icon=”star” color=”#f7c100″ color_hover=”#8224e3″][fac_icon icon=”star” color=”#f7c100″ color_hover=”#8224e3″] “Much attention since 2008 has been directed to the economic symptoms that are now translating into a widespread social malaise, but few commentators have plumbed the depths as this book does and called for a radically new outlook. For too long the soul and the feminine principle have been marginalised and suppressed, but Anne Baring’s life experience and passionate engagement have enabled her to understand and articulate the imbalance in our Western culture and show how it can be overcome. The book is a symbol of hope and renaissance – essential reading for anyone wishing to understand the patterns of Western cultural history and the potentials of its future development.” (David Lorimer, Programme Director, The Scientific and Medical Network.)

To round off this collection of resources, this link takes you to a document produced by Paul M. Helfrich, Ph.D., that summarizes Elias’s NIRAA exercise on the acceptance of Self. There are actually a series of exercises making up the NIRAA practice, so this may take you some time to complete should you choose to explore it.

These are the basic steps of NIRAA:

Noticing beliefs (the process of making invisible beliefs [personal truths] visible and the subconscious conscious through self-observation. Similar to the perrenial challenge of “Know Thy Self.”)

Identifying and Recognizing specific beliefs (as self-observation becomes more regular, more an everyday habit [i.e., a belief!], you begin to connect various beliefs to various choices, actions, reactions, and motivations. This stage is marked by varying degrees of conflict, anxiety, joy, and/or happiness.)

Addressing to the beliefs (lessening conflict, anxiety, depression, fear; increasing happiness, joy, relaxation, allowing more for diverse perceptions, and moving closer to accepting self. This can occur without a thought process.)

Acceptance, neutrality, complete lack of judgment while still holding preferences and opinions; there is no absolute good, bad, right, or wrong – “It matters not!” – while recognizing we each still hold belief systems.
